Every once in a while, a photo session comes along that feels extra special. The Kinter family’s session is one of those moments I will always cherish. They won my end-of-the-year contest last year with their photos from a freezing 32-degree session in late November. Because of the cold, we had to cut that session short, but we planned for a spring session to make up for it. Life, as it does, got busy, and we ended up pushing the session to June. When the day finally arrived, the forecast predicted rain, but the Kinters were determined, and so was I.
The moment we started, the skies were already turning gray. We moved quickly, capturing as many beautiful moments as we could before the rain began. This time, the Kinters brought along Mimi, the beloved grandmother, to join in the fun. Despite the impending rain, the session was filled with warmth and joy.
One of my favorite moments of the day was when I had the pleasure of photographing Mimi with her grandchildren. I asked them to look at each other, and with a sweeping glance at her beloved grandchildren, Mimi said, “I love you guys!” It was a simple yet profoundly beautiful moment that perfectly encapsulated the love and bond within the Kinter family.
Here are some of my favorite photos from our rainy, yet heartwarming, session.
Despite the weather challenges, the Kinter family session was a success. We managed to create and capture memories that will be cherished for years to come. Thank you, Kinter family, for your patience and positivity. Here’s to many more sessions and many more memories!
