I first met the Miller family at the end of last year when they booked an extended family photo session. Mom worked tirelessly to find us an indoor location, which was perfect because it rained the entire time! Despite the weather, the Millers were such a blast to work with, and I knew right then that this was a special family. So, when they asked me to come back and take senior photos for their son, Ryder, I was beyond excited.
This time, the session took place at their gorgeous family home, an old farmhouse with a barn they're renovating into a new home. It was a hot and sunny day, but Ryder handled it like a champ. We captured some fantastic shots of him, and of course, we couldn’t resist adding in some family photos, too!
One of my favorite things about photographing the Millers is seeing how they interact with each other. They don’t take themselves too seriously, and they genuinely have fun together. Whether it’s cracking jokes or playfully teasing each other, their bond is undeniable, and it made capturing their moments that much more special.
Ryder is a bright young man with an interest in mechanical engineering, and he’s currently exploring his college options. It was such a pleasure to capture this milestone in his life, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for him.
If you’re looking to capture special moments with your family or celebrate a milestone like Ryder’s senior year, I’d love to help! I specialize in natural light portrait photography and love working with families of all shapes and sizes to preserve their memories.
