Sweet Tanner came into this world with confidence and proudly said, "I'm here!"
Tanner's parents, Jon and Rachel, were middle school sweethearts and have been married for almost 6 years. Rachel is a registered nurse and Jon works in manufacturing. They and their 2 very friendly cats welcomed baby Tanner into their lives on June 5.
Here's what Tanner's mom had to say about his delivery - "Tanner was due July 1st and had been breech the whole pregnancy. On the day of my baby shower, about 5 minutes before we were to leave, my water broke while I was in the bathroom doing my makeup. We obviously called the doctor immediately, and I said to Jon, guess we better start packing. We called my mom who was hosting the shower, and she let everyone there know. They thought it was a joke. I felt terrible about all of the hard work my mom and sister put into the shower plus my friends helping out, so we actually stopped in on the way to the hospital. Less than four hours later, Tanner Lawrence Pugliese was born on June 5th at 3:57PM via c-section. He was 4 weeks early and weighed 5 lbs 3 ounces. He gave us a little scare and spent 4 days in the Hershey NICU after that, and we finally took him home."
I've know Jon and Rachel for a number of years now and I've seen them grow and flourish. It was so special to see them in their latest roles as parents. You can tell they are just smitten with their new addition. And for baby Tanner, he is enamoured of his dad. It was so sweet watching his eyes follow his dad around the room and how he calmed to a deep sleep in his mom's arms.
